a couple of things you should know about

First, sorry if you got an old email re-delivered today. I don’t know why that happens but sometimes it does.

Anyway, I want to let you know about a couple of tools for finding music online.

mtvmusic.com

MTV have opened up their huge catalogue of music videos and put them online here – it’s a bit like youtube but just for music videos. And just like youtube, you can embed the clips anywhere. Like this one:

(If you don’t see the video in the feed or email you might have to click through to bsidebeats.com)

SeeqPod.com

Wired magazine said SeeqPod lets you turn the entire internet into your own personal iPod” and that pretty much sums it up.

I’ve been using this for a few months and it’s awesome.

Just type the name of an artist, song, album or whatever and it searches the web for any files it can play. It also finds blogs, wikis and myspace pages relevant to your search, tries to help you buy or download the songs you find and allows you to save and share playlists.

You can embed stuff like this playlist I made of a few of my favourite Daniel Johnston songs:

(Again, if you don’t see the playlist in the feed or email you might have to click through to bsidebeats.com)

Oh yeah and it’s free. It’s difficult to describe just how powerful this tool is but give it a try and you’ll see what I mean: seeqpod.com

    Hey Felix,

You might like to use this http://mp3grabber.net/ in conjunction with seeqpod. Mp3grabber will allow you to download any mp3 file that is playable from a website, even if they have forgotten to make it available for download.

    Bueno!
