Our first performance together is at Vinnie’s in Raglan, this Thursday the 18th of August. We’re playing with Luckless and Great North, both from Auckland and on tour together.

We forgot to think of a name so this time we’re just billed as “Felix and Karin”.

Should be fun, if you’re in the area come on down. We’ll be heading to Auckland to play soon too. Here’s that recording again in case you missed it last time (more of those to come soon too).

In the past it’s been a mix of free/fixed price/pay-what-you-like for different stuff, but I think it’s easier for everyone (including me) this way.

“Pay-what-you-like” means you can pay nothing if you like. But if you do download it for free you should share it with three friends and send them here too. k? Most (but not all) of the albums here are available on CD in some form too if you like those.

It might not be a permanent change, but then hardly anything is. New stuff when it’s released (bit of that coming soon btw) might be structured differently again, don’t know yet. We’ll see how it goes.

I have a track on the new not-quite-released release from Auckland based electronic musician/producer NSU which will be out very very soon. It’s a collection of downbeat/chillout/ambient versions of his songs remixed by other NZ artists/producers. I had a lot of fun working on my contribution, here’s a wee taste for now:

I’ve been tidying up the music section of this site. Almost everything is now running through one bandcamp account which is easier both for me and for you. If you want to download stuff from several albums you shouldn’t have to keep entering your email address over and over now (I think). Let me know if it doesn’t work as you think it should.

I’ve got a few releases lined up for this year so I want to have all that running smoothly and bandcamp has proven to be a pretty awesome platform so far. I will have more of my music available through iTunes soon as well.

I’ve been recording with Kate Martin, performing with Karin Bettley, hosting a Friday evening show on TractorFM, and building new instruments (+ trying to draw schematics for them). But more about all that shortly. Really. No, really really.

Just a quick note to let you know that Vincent’s blog – http://theidiotwinds.blogspot.com – is back up and running after a bit of a break.

Vincent plays guitar in Harmonica Lewinsky and on his blog he usually writes about music, film, media, politics and the like.

Although sometimes he just posts videos of people opening cans of spag and weeing on the floor.

The whole face is a flat panel with touch sensitive regions and the “keys” can play flute, glockenspiel, trumpet, and guitar sounds.

This one is very boring but I’ve been looking for a boring keyboard to modify, and lately I’ve only been finding ones that are too useful to mess with.

I never would have looked twice at this clock until I saw this video of Peaking Lights: part 1 and part 2.
